Why people order from us

Three things we will not change.

Handmade daily

Kneaded, filled and steamed by hand each morning. Our round kueh are shaped by hand rather than pressed in a mould.

Recipes unchanged

The same Teochew recipes, made the way they were taught. No shortcuts, no substitutions to make them cheaper.

A social enterprise

A raiSE member. Every order funds training and steady work for the women in our kitchen.

Hands at work

Our story

Good food. Great cause. Glorious people.

We started this kitchen to keep Teochew kueh alive, and to give women rebuilding their lives somewhere steady to work while they do it.

They learn the recipes properly — kneading, filling, folding, steaming — and they are paid to do skilled work, not made an example of. Every order you place pays for that.
